Bones Icon Tutorial #2




- start with a blank/white 100x100 pixel box
- copy and paste or open screencap


- resize screencap to fit in the 100x100 pixel box (I usually resize about 20-40% to make it small enough) In this case, I want it smaller than normal to have a larger black area on the canvas.
- paste screencap as a new layer
- merge all layers
- go to the adjust option on the menu - clarify - once
- go to the adjust option on the menu - clarify - twice
- this is what the newest version looks like:



- go to paint brushes, choose a textured paint brush type, size it to about 50 pixels or so, similar to this one:


- fill in the top and top left with the paint brush, colored black, until you are satisfied with the blending:


- once the blending is satisfactory, duplicate the layers, screen 70%, merge all layers


- then duplicate the layer again, overlay 65%, merge all layers
