EPISODE SYNOPSIS/QUOTES:
Oh so creepy the body burning in the church has horns. CREEPY!
And Booth and Brennan are in a smaller vehicle, a Prius? And she’s driving! And she’s using the GPS and the cruise control!
Brennan: Notice how I’m not tailgating? Adaptive cruise control.
Booth: Hmm. Well right now I’m more worried about a safe distance between you and me.
Brennan: Why?
Booth: Why? Because we’re going to a church and you tend to get blasphemous in churches.
Brennan: What? You’re afraid that if God smites me with lightening you could get hit?
Brennan’s comment about being struck by lightning.
Booth: Yeah I’m usually standing right beside you.
Booth: Car, could you please get us there a little faster?
Brennan: No, the accelerator is not voice activated. It’s foot activated like a normal car. Ah you’re joking. That’s funny!
Brennan: That would have great meaning for your superstitious followers.
Booth: Yeah like me.
Booth: I am just saying a prayer for us to protect from the evil. You understand? I mean come on even you believe in evil.
And Booth says a prayer to protect them from evil! Awwww
Loved Cam stating that brimstone was only available in hell. Ha ha
Cam asking if his last name was Lucifer.
Jack: Can we please call him hellboy until we find out otherwise?
And the flower is used in a potion used to summon the devil. Quite funny.
And I loved the scene with Brennan driving and Booth riding and Sweets in the back. I guess Brennan has a new vehicle and she’s chauffeuring!
LOVED the scene at the looney bin.
Brennan: Oh Booth, look over there. That’s hellebore.
Booth: The question is did hellboy trample on those flowers before after he was dead.
Brennan: Well hellboy couldn’t have trampled on them after he was dead.
Booth: Are you sure about that?
Brennan: Yes.
Brennan stated that they brought their own psychologist. And the looney bin doc thought Sweets was more experienced or older. So hilarious!
When the looney bin doc mentioned it wouldn’t be good if Neil hellboy had been killed on the site.
Brennan: I’m quite certain it wouldn’t make any difference to Neil.
Ha ha
But the ‘angel’ at the looney bin is CREEPING ME OUT!
Brennan stating that angels don’t exist expect in works of fiction such as the Bible and children’s books.
LMAO
Brennan: I have to admit it’s eerie that when I move she follows me as if she knows exactly where I am.
Booth: It’s a window Bones, not a two way mirror.
The Dr Phillip Womack LMAO at him trying to hit on Brennan. And Brennan being impressed at his knowledge of psychiatry in a very scientific manner, and then she realizes he’s a patient! Ha ha ha
And somehow I just LOVED Booth and Brennan leaning in the nurse’s passenger side window at the entrance gate. Something about it was so cute. Then the way they were looking in the trunk together. I know it was a simple scene but I found it adorable.
Booth: It doesn’t matter what I believe, it matters what I can prove.
I know that was a statement about the suspect and the case, but the way he said it, the simplicity of it … it was very much a change for Booth. He used to talk about his belief his gut all the time, proof wasn’t important. But this time, all alone with a suspect he’s stating that it’s what he can prove (such a Brennan statement) and I loved it.
Jack: Knock yourself out. I did.
LMAO
And the intern is a nunchuck expert! So freaking hilarious. Jack calling him a Persian Ninja.
Jack: If Loyd the drug dealing nurse killed Neil the demonic schizophrenic then this was not the weapon.
And I loved the little scene with Booth Sweets and Brennan looking for the all access panel with the high voltage. I LOVED Brennan with the map leading the way, Booth looking for lights. Then Sweets uses his i-phone flashlight app.
Brennan: I need to ask you some things.
Booth: You’re going to ask me about God and the Devil?
Brennan: Yes.
Booth: You’re going to ask me how God can place such a burden on good people?
Brennan: No, I’m going to ask you how you still believe in a kind God after a case like this.
Booth: Is my faith shaken? Yeah. Mm hmm It is.
Brennan: It is?
Booth: Yeah. I’ll go home tonight and I’ll lie in bed and I’ll toss and turn and I’ll beat myself up and I’ll question everything.
Brennan: Will you get your faith back?
Booth: I always have in the past.
Brennan: So you have faith that you will retain your faith. Why?
Booth: Because Bones it’s - the sun will come up and tomorrow’s a new day.
Brennan: I know that feeling.
Booth: Really?
Brennan: Hmm hmm.
Booth: You know what it feels like to get your faith back?
Brennan: When I see effects and I unable to discern the cause my faith in reason and consequences is shaken.
Booth: Then what happens?
Brennan: Two plus two equals four. I put sugar in my coffee and it tastes sweet. The sun comes up because the world turns. These things are beautiful to me. There are mysteries I will never understand but everywhere I look I see proof that for every effect there is a corresponding cause. Even if I can’t see it. I find that reassuring.
Booth: And life is good again.
Brennan: Life is very good.
Booth: Yes it is
