Booth: Bones you are not going to believe this one
<Something about a guy stuffed in a truck tire>
Booth: This is a whole new level of weird
Brennan: Woah, I don’t believe it.
<Booth guesses the body was wrapped up and rolled up in a carpet, and that the carpet rotted away, with the meaty parts>
<Brennan laughs>
Brennan: That would have taken thousands of years. The bones would have been in a pile together.
Booth: What is with you?
Brennan: <still laughing> Rolled in a carpet
<Caroline walks up, gives Brennan a hard time about laughing >

<Caroline basically tells Brennan she’s suspended from working on cases with Booth or the FBI>
Booth: What?
Brennan: For laughing at Booth?
Booth: That really doesn’t bother me
<Caroline explains he was the arresting officer, court date set for her dad, etc>
<Booth and Brennan argue about it not being necessary, she can compartmentalize, etc>

Booth: That sucks
Brennan: This one looked really interesting
Booth: Yeah, really really interesting. I’ll let you know how it goes
Brennan: You’re not going to solve it without me

And TOO funny the scene with “partner’s therapy” and Sweets and Sweets thinking they were permanently separated. And giving Brennan a hard time for not being all upset about her father’s trial. And the way that Booth and Brennan just blew off therapy and blew off Sweets since they are not “partners” and made Sweets pay the check! So funny!

Caroline was trying to tell the lab prosecuting team that this trial was not different than any other trial.
Booth: Caroline, it’s Bones. It is different.
And she told him to loose the “cocky” belt buckle!
Then later he tries to explain to her that when he’s on the stand, the jury won’t actually see his cocky belt buckle! HA ha!

Brennan: <whispering across court aisle to Booth>: Booth, I can so be objective!
Booth: I know, shhhh
Judge to Booth and Brennan: And you two, please, keep to your own sides of the aisle!

<Outside courtroom in the hall Brennan sits alone on a bench, Booth walks up with coffee for her>
Booth: It may not be good coffee, but hey, at least it’s lukewarm
Brennan: We’re not supposed to talk.
Booth: <whispering> We can’t talk about the case. <loud voice> We can talk about crappy coffee. <whispering> Put the cup of coffee in front of your mouth when you talk
<they both hold the cup in front of their lips as they whisper>
Brennan: I didn’t see Angela today.
Booth: Angela refuses to testify.
Brennan: Why
Booth: Probably because she’s your best friend
Brennan: You’re my friend and you don’t mind
Booth: I mind. We all mind. Except Zach
After court is called back in session:
Booth: Good luck, Bones. And oh remember, I’m the one who gave you this delicious coffee.

LOVED the mini flashbacks during Booth’s testimony. And how Booth was having difficulty and how Brennan was watching closely and almost encouraged him to tell the truth. And how Booth wasn’t willing to talk about the sharpened pipe becoming a standard weapon for Max, but Caroline forced him to say it.

Booth tried to get Brennan to speak up, and when she did, the Judge yelled at her. And she told Booth “thanks a lot”.
Brennan: Angela, please!
Booth: <stands and puts his arm and out makes her sit back down> Sit down!

<Booth and Brennan talking about Sweets as he introduces himself, whispering to each other across the aisle>
Booth: Doctorates, as in more than one?
<sweets still talking>
Brennan: More than one scholarship too.
Booth: No wonder Dr. Geeks can’t hang on to a girlfriend.
Brennan: It’s Dr Sweets
Booth teased about Sweets and Geeks being similar words.
Judge Haddoes: Excuse me, Agent Booth I’d like you to switch seats with Dr. Saroyan and you, Dr. Brennan, please switch seats with your brother.
Brennan: Why?
Judge Haddoes: You don’t whisper as quietly as you think you do.
Booth <whispering to Brennan about her whisper being too loud>
Booth and Brennan switched seats. Too CUTE! Just LOVED the little whispering back and forth between the two during the trial.
Whispering in Courtroom Scene

Loved how Brennan looked at Booth a lot during the trial.

Loved Booth and Brennan outside the courthouse. She brought him coffee. Sweets walked up.
Sweets: You shouldn’t work well <talked about offering them counseling without counseling, a chance to write a book about their work, he talked about how they talk to themselves but not to the third party, etc>
Booth: Now why would we want to do that?
Brennan: I can’t think of a reason
Sweets talks about an adaptive process
Booth: What does that mean for us?
Brennan: Nothing useful
Booth suggests a deal where if they did it, then Sweets would have to profile cases for them.
Booth: I think he doesn’t want to admit he likes us
Booth and Brennan teasing: You like us
Booth and Brennan continuing teasing: And he wants to spend time with us
Still over one another: He really likes us
Coffee Teasing Scene

Booth shows up at Brennan’s apartment with a warrant.
Booth: How you doing there Bones?
Brennan: When it looked like my father may go free, I got – this is very confusing for me
Booth: You like the idea of him beating the murder charge
Brennan: Yes but he did it we both know he did it
Booth: Bones wanting your father to come home instead of going to prison is okay
Something about her saying that “we” put murders away, confusing for her
Booth: You’re not Dr Brennan today. You’re Temperance
Brennan: I don’t know what that means.
Booth tries to explain, she still doesn’t get it.
Booth teases her about taking her scientific brain out, snapping into drive, and he’s all playful and she smiles.
Brennan: Sometimes I think you’re from another planet and sometimes I think you’re very nice.
And the LOOK they shared? Wow. This is the look with Jasper and Brainy Smurf. VERY hot.
I Think You're Very Nice Scene

Loved how Brennan knew her dad stayed for her. Such a touching family moment. Poor Brennan. And how she went to Booth for help!

Brennan: If the truth can’t be proven, is it still the truth
Booth: You invited me to breakfast to talk philosophy
She asks a question about the case
Booth: We can’t talk about this
Brennan: Please you’re the person I talk to about this
Loved how Booth gave her info, such as no lying.
Brennan: You think it’s alright for me to take advantage of this
Booth: Brain and heart Bones. Brain and heart.
Breakfast Case Talk Scene

Loved how the defense took the angle and made it out like Brennan could have had just as much motive and time. And how the defense kept questioning Booth about Brennan, and he kept talking about her not having the time, she was with him all day. The rest of the witnesses, even Sweets, made it out like she COULD have, but Booth said she couldn’t have. It was so OBVIOUS he was dying inside, because he knew in his heart she wouldn’t kill Kirby.
Booth: 45 minutes while we were apart, ]but we talked on the phone.
Attorney: Plenty of time, wasn't it, Agent Booth? Dr. Brennan could have burned the body hours later, when you were safe at home.
Booth looked at Brennan, her father, etc.
Judge: The witness will answer the question.
Booth: That's a lot of heart, Bones.
Attorney: Your honor!
Judge: Answer the question please Agent Booth.
Booth: Could Bones have killed Kirby? Temperance Brennan. I've worked with this woman. I've stood over death with her, faced down death with her. And Sweets, he's brilliant. He is. But he's wrong. She could not have done this.
Attorney: I didn't ask you your opinion of Dr Brennan's character. I asked you did she have time?
Booth: Yes. She had time.
I wanted to CRY during this scene.
Courtroom Scene

Then at the end, Brennan waited outside.
Booth walked out to her. Hugged her. Rubbed her back. GAH! Such LOVE there.
Angela came out and touched her arm.
Sweets and Caroline came out.
Max, and hugged her. Then the forensic team and Russ came out.
Zach to Caroline: So, you going to charge her?
Caroline: You got to go back to school on this one. That’s a fine woman there.
Brennan hugs her dad and smiles at Booth the WHOLE freaking time. She ONLY looks at Booth while she’s smiling.
And the way he smiled back! <THUD>
