Loved how Booth came rushing into Zach’s dissertation defense to drag Bones out to help him with the murder case. The way they were dashing in the background down the hall, that great chemistry as always.

That opening scene with Booth and Bones on the rooftop … cute! Loved the banter!

“I spend half my time with a sniper trained FBI agent. I feel safe.” – Bones. Ah what a great quote.

“Why do I always feel like you’re abducting me?” And the way she slapped him. Oh how CUTE!

“What are you doing?” Booth
“I’ve been practicing some of the black ops stuff you showed me.” Bones
“Let me show you.” Booth
Bones keeps trying to break in.
“Now let me show you.” Booth tries to take the credit card away. Bones doesn’t let him,
“Let me show you how it’s done, okay?” Then he busts the door down.
And did you all SEE the flirting looks in that moment? Such chemistry tonight.

“Go home. Go home and be with your brother.” And the way that Booth looked at Bones and reassured her, and how she easily agreed. Only because it was Booth, if you ask me.

And then the angst is already there not even 20 minutes in …. Columbus is Brennan’s father and Columbus killed their victim.

“She’s just going to tell agent Booth anyway, might as well let him listen.” Russ to the priest. Totally true. And so glad Russ saw it so easily too.

Booth and Russ talking … Booth covered for Russ! With the whole parole agent thing. And met in private, so Brennan wouldn’t know, to tell him. Oh I love it, it was all for Brennan! And then gunshots at Booth and Russ! <thud>

Booth was suspended without pay! And good ole Bones is the only one who mentioned it as it being temporary. Cam was definetly more pessimistic than Bones. But Booth’s biggest complaint was not having a car, and good ole Bones offered to drive him.

And Bones was willing to go find her father to get Booth’s job back!

Booth: “Why are you mad at me?”
Bones: “I need a gun!
Booth: “No you don't. I'm your gun!” Something about if she needs equipment she can use the handcuffs.
Booth: “New division of labor. I’ll shoot them. You cuff them.”

Then …. Booth: “What the priest said? It’s true. Your father lives in a different world. In his world, he’s an honorable man.”
Brennan: “That’s ridiculous. There’s only one world. It’s this one.”
Booth: “Would that be the world where you’re mad at me for trying to catch your father? Or the world where you actually want him caught?”
Brennan: “Neither”
Booth: “Well you have to pick one.”
Brennan: “Either.”

Brennan immediately fell onto Booth’s shoulders when she saw all that blood and thought it was Russ. And he hugged her reassuring her it was alright.

She let him drive her car, I guess because she was so upset. He was the rational one, telling her to not jump to conclusions about the blood being Russ.
“I wish you wouldn’t keep letting me hug you when I get scared.” Bones
“Hey. I get scared, you let me hug you, and we’ll call it even.” Booth – or something like that. I want to know if I have that exact statement right or not.

“She can’t be going places without me. Not when it’s open season on Brennan’s.” Booth. He just left Cam completely and went after HIS Bones.
“I gotta find Bones. Keep her from getting killed.”

“If you find somebody that you can trust, you hang on to him. Remember that.” Brennan’s dad to her, and Booth comes rushing up in that horrible car. Then to Booth, “You take care of her.”

And Booth stayed with Brennan … “Did he really have to hit the car? I wasn’t going to chase him.” Booth wasn’t going to go after her Dad, all because he was more concerned about Brennan. Then he puts his hand on her shoulder. “You okay?” And it was more about her family history, her dad leaving, etc than anything else. How well he knows her.

And at the end Booth waves at Bones, and she comes out at the diner. NOT CAM! How awesone. And he tells her she’s reinstated.
“I’m sorry. That you had to go through it again. Watching your family drive off leaving you again ….”

“He’s your dad. He loves you” Booth to Brennan, but yeah, it felt like he was talking about a lot more!

“You know I’m just …. I’m just one of those people that doesn’t get to be in a family.”
“There’s more than one find of family.”
And he touched her chin, and the looks and how close they were!

And of course Zach knocked on the window in that goofy hat and interrupted. But the end, when she drug Booth in to congratulate Zach, and the way they teased each other, half what … pinching or poking? So adorable!
